The beauty of catholic bioethics is that it makes those difficult moments in life moments where the theological virtues can shine through.
Bioethics is asking the question of moral action, recognizing the intrinsic dignity of each person.
DiAnn Ecret is the Chair of the Nursing Department, an Associate Professor of Nursing at 麻豆传媒覆灭记 (AMU), and a part time Catholic Ethicist at the National Catholic Bioethics Center (NCBC).
She has over 30 years of combined clinical experience in neonatal, pediatric, and adult critical care nursing; while also teaching in graduate, undergraduate, and accelerated bachelor鈥檚 in science of nursing (BSN) programs over the past 15 years.
Dr. Ecret鈥檚 research and scholarship includes work in the care of patients, families and communities who experience complex bioethical decision making issues across the lifespan.
She serves as a volunteer ethics consultant for Be Not Afraid and Naples Community Pregnancy Clinic.
She is married to her husband Mike Ecret for 37 years. They have 4 adult children and 4 grandchildren.
